PAPER FORMAT GUIDELINES 

Scope and Themes

The article should be directly related to the discipline of Humanities Education, including areas such as Educational Philosophy, Language and Literature, Aesthetics, History, Religious and  Cultural Studies, Ethics and Moral Education

Manuscripts submitted for consideration must be written in English.

Frequency:  2 issues per year June and December  

Title Page (top part of first page only)

  1. Title of the Paper: The title must be centered with at least one and half inches margin on the left and right.
  1. Font: Times New Roman, bold ,16
  1. Last name and the initials of the Author (and corresponding author ) -12 point Bold
  1. Affiliation: Author (and corresponding author ) – 12 point Italic

Format of the Paper

Margins: One inch margin on the left, right, top and bottom

Headings: 14-point, upper and lower case, bold

Subheadings: 12 point, upper and lower case, italic

Font Size:Times New Roman, 12-point

Line Spacing: 1.5

Do not add page numbers

Length of the article: 4000 to 6000 words

  1. Abstract

Concise and factual abstract of less than 200 words is required. The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, the main findings and main conclusions. Immediately after the abstract, provide maximum of 5 keywords. Avoid multiple concepts.

  1. Subdivision of the Article

Divide your article into clearly defined and numbered sections.

Example: 1 – 1.1, 1.2 …

Introduction

An overview of the research context, statement of the problem, significance of the study, research objectives, and, where appropriate, research questions or hypotheses.

Review of Literature

A critical synthesis of relevant theoretical and empirical studies, highlighting gaps in existing knowledge that the present study seeks to address.

Methodology

A detailed description of the research design, participants, or data sources, instruments, procedures for data collection, and methods of data analysis, ensuring transparency and replicability.

Results / Findings

A clear and systematic presentation of the research findings, supported by appropriate tables, figures, or statistical analyses where applicable.

Discussion

An interpretative analysis of the findings in relation to the research objectives and existing literature, emphasizing theoretical and practical implications.

Conclusion

A concise summary of the major findings, conclusions drawn from the study, limitations, and recommendations for future research.

  1. Tables, Graphs and Figures

Captions of the tables, graphs and figures should be minimum 10-point font size, in upper and lower case, bold and centered.

References

A complete and accurately formatted list of all sources cited in the manuscript, prepared in accordance with the American Psychological Association (APA style) (7th edition).

A References section must be included that lists all references alphabetically by last name of the first author. References must be published works only. References cited in text that are not found in the reference list will be deleted.

Likewise, all references included in the References section must be cited in the text. Examples of reference formatting are below.

Format for Books:

Author, A. A. (Year of publication). Title of work: Capital letter also for subtitle. Place of publication: Publisher.

Format for Journal Papers, Print version:

Author, A. A., Author, B. B., & Author, C. C. (Year). Title of article. Title of Periodical, Volume number (Issue number), page range.

Format for Journal Papers, Online version:

Author, A. A., Author, B. B., & Author, C. C. (Year). Title of article. Title of Periodical, Volume number (Issue number), page range.      http://dx.doi.org/xx.xxxxxxxxxx or Retrieved from http://xxxxxx

Where available, URLs and DOIs for the references should be provide

Appendices (if applicable)

Supplementary materials such as research instruments, extended data tables, or additional documentation relevant to the study.

Ensuring a Blind Review

All manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Humanities Education (IJHE) are subject to a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Each submission is evaluated by independent experts in the relevant disciplinary area(s), who are appointed by the Editorial Board.

Authors are therefore requested to submit a blinded manuscript without any author names and affiliations in the text, references, or on the title page.
