Guest Lecture by Dr. Lotta Uusitalo

Dean of the Faculty of Education organized a guest lecture on Positive Learning for the academic staff of Faculty of Education, University of Colombo, on 3 rd January 2020 in the ELH3 of Faculty of Education.
The Speaker was Prof. Lotta Uusitalo from Finland. She explained the relationship between the well-being of children and their performance by using many practical ideas. Well-being of the child was discussed under the five areas of; positive feedback, strength language, strength usage,social connectedness and example. The skills and the outcomes of positive learning were highlighted through interactive discussion and many innovative ideas were presented. It was a very useful lecture for the academics in the field of Education.
