The National Education Research and Evaluation Center (NEREC) presented the findings of the national study ‘Sri Lankan Students’ Readiness for International Assessment: Assessment of Learning Outcomes of Grade 8 Students at National Level’ conducted in 2019, on the 22^nd of July, 2021 via zoom under the patronage of the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Colombo, Senior Prof. Chandrika N Wijeratne, Secretary to the Ministry of Education Prof. Kapila C.K. Perara,  and the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. KapilaBandara. The dissemination seminar was attended by world bank officials, officials from the Ministry of Education, academics of the University of Colombo, various Directors of Education and educational researchers from all over Sri Lanka.
